MY STORY
Where the story begins
01
Racine roots
Nathan DeBruin was born in Racine, Wisconsin, and is now based in Kenosha. His deep ties to the Kenosha community run through much of his work, behind the camera and as a photojournalist.
02
A family of storytellers
In 1975 his grandfather, Harold DeBruin, founded Signature Films, Inc., producing training films and 35mm slide programs for local companies such as J.I. Case, Modine, and Johnson Wax. His father's work there showed Nathan the power of visual storytelling from a young age.
03
From hobby to life's work
After the loss of his brother, photography took on a deeper meaning. What began as a hobby became a way to preserve and share the stories behind each moment, and in 2023 Nathan founded Photos By Nate D LLC.
